Danny Looney – Owner + CFO

Danny Looney graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1974 and moved to Dallas to accept a job on the audit staff of Ernst and Ernst. He became a CPA in 1976. Between 1976 and 1986 he worked as controller or financial officer for three oil and gas firms in the Dallas area. In 1986 he formed his own oil and gas exploration and operating firm. While continuing the operation of the oil and gas firm, he formed Danny W. Looney, PC in 1989 and began the current CPA practice. He continues to balance his time between the management of the oil and gas operating companies, the practice and management of the CPA firm, and the acquisition or investment in other companies where he has an equity participation. Investments of recent years include the investment in, restructure of, and turnaround of a landscape company, numerous investments in oil and gas ventures, and the formation of real estate developments throughout DFW. He personally advises his various clients on organizational structure, tax strategies and planning, tax preparation, business management and analytical decisions, and other general business matters using his experience of 27 years in the management of the CPA practice, and over 40 years of experience related to the oil and gas business. Danny’s most valued role will always be as a husband of over 44 years and as a father of two sons.
